Hello, Gorgeous; it has been a while; I am 48 now!
I am excited for you to try Glow Butter, now The Supreme Glow. I know you will feel and see excellent results as I have! The easiest way to see your results is to take a before picture and compare it each week while taking note of sunspots, freckles, wrinkles, and scars. Name one skincare company that asks you to take a picture to compare your results! I am asking because I believe in Glow Butter, and I am confident you will see your skin changes when you compare your pictures. My skin has taken about six weeks to heal from all of the damage, and even now, after three years, my skin is still getting better. Having great skin has made my makeup routine so much easier. Nothing is more beautiful than a natural makeup look with healthy skin to go along with it.
I use Supreme Glow (sometimes) twice a day on my face and once a day on my body. I recommend using it on the entire body; that skin ages and needs love too. Remember that little goes a long way, primarily when used on your face. One 4oz Supreme Glow can last for over 6-10 months if only used on your face. You will be surprised that something so natural can help get your skin into a great, if not fantastic, shape! I make Glow Butter in small batches and use every batch on my skin and my children's skin. Glow Butter has no synthetic fragrances, harmful toxins, or chemicals. It is 100% all-natural and vegetarian with zero water. It is a pure glow in a jar!
Directions
First things first, EXFOLIATE! A simple sugar scrub, salt scrub, or warm washcloth will help. You don't need to do this every time, just for the first week or two, until the Glow Butter starts turning your skin over faster. You'll be able to feel in a week if your skin needs a good scrub because the Glow Butter may feel like it's just sitting on top of your skin instead of being absorbed. I use Sunshine Glow cleansing oil when I wash because it gently exfoliates the surface without stripping the skin of its natural oils. You may also notice slight peeling in the first week of using Glow Butter. The natural botanicals cause that, and they act as a mild hydroxy acid. It will stop once that dry layer is gone.
When you apply Supreme Glow, you will warm it up by rubbing it on your hands. You may feel oily, and it may feel a little strange at first. Everything that is in The Supreme has low pore-clogging properties. Jojoba oil is the closest to your natural sebum and helps flush out your pores. In about 20-30 minutes, you'll notice that initial oiliness will get absorbed by your skin, leaving you with a soft glow. Take what is left on your hands and rub it into the ends of your hair or massage it into cuticles. If you still feel oily after 20-30 minutes, you've probably used too much, or it is time to exfoliate again. Glow Butter is also great to apply a little heavier before bed when your skin naturally heals itself as you sleep. You can also use it immediately before or after applying any other serum, sunscreens, or alpha hydroxy.
About once a month, I use an alpha hydroxy with my Supreme Glow; when applied, it helps to knock off that top layer of dead skin. Here is a simple all-natural recipe you can quickly make at home.
Gentle Lemon and Honey Face Peel
Two tablespoons of raw organic sugar
Two tablespoons of fresh honey
juice of ½ lemon
To make it, you will combine the sugar and honey in a bowl. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon and mix well. Apply to the face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Rinse with warm water after 5-10 minutes.
You will want to apply sunscreen anytime you use a peel because it can cause you to burn quickly.
Another natural (very messy) exfoliating scrub is to use about 1-2 tablespoons of leftover coffee grounds mixed with a tablespoon of coconut oil, olive oil, or almond oil. (the caffeine in coffee stimulates the blood flow and helps with cellulite) You can also use this on your face, but be gentle.
For my acne friends, please don't feel bad; we all go through it from time to time. I developed adult acne once I hit my 40s, probably due to hormones. I won't complain because, until that point, I have had clear skin my entire life. Here are some tips on how I got my skin clear again. I use a Dr. Woods, Black African soap with Shea butter (Google Dr. Woods Shea Vision). You can find it in a natural grocery store. It helps with acne and fine lines, and there are no toxins or harmful chemicals like the ones found in other soaps. Wash the entire face and body with it. You can also follow up with a witch hazel cloth on your face to get rid of excess dirt and oils. Then apply Supreme Glow. Witch hazel is, and again it's all-natural. Keep a spray bottle in your gym bag or purse, spray some on a cloth, and give your face a once-over if you sweat. Follow up with the Glow Butter. Go light; I can't stress how a little goes a long way on the face. Now the body is a different story; I slather it on thick!
If you have any questions or want to share your story, please email me; I would love to hear about your results or help.
Warmest regards,
Kimberly Howell
